UWC website Re skinning
I was approached by the Free Software Innovation Unit at UWC to design a few skin alternatives for the existing UWC portal site which is being shifted over the the Chisimba cms system. The UWC Brand is a relatively conservative one with some strict guidelines so I presented a variation sticking as close as possible to their existing site with a few usability & information architecture refinements.
WordPress Cape Town Meetup site
The WPCPT meetups are local gatherings of WordPress designers, developers and other WordPress enthusiasts who want to share ideas and solve problems relating the the WordPress platform.
I’ve been involved in planning the events and developed the branding as well. With the help of Developer Paul Weingartz of WorldWideCreative, we gave the www.wordpress.org.za a new face. I designed the theme interface and Paul coded it up for WordPress.
Arabella Western Cape Hotels & Resorts

The Arabella South Africa Holdings Website is an entry portal into the variety of Arabella Resorts in the Western Cape and serves to offer a glimpse into what is available across this group of resorts.
The Use of Imagery as a primary focus serves to transport one into the atmosphere which these stunning spaces offer and gives the viewer a good sense of what they would find.
The subtle use of flash in combination with an elegantly crafted interface conveys the luxury of these venues. Combined with certain standards based code and CSS this site is light, the text content loads quickly and the flash follows quickly enough as well to give a smooth presentation.
Synerlogic Consulting Services – Website re-design
being frustrated with new media service providers not acting quickly enough to service their needs, Synerlogix Consulting Services approached nomad-one to revamp their web presence as phase one to their new approach to their online strategy.
To keep the budget as low as possible an existing webstandards compliant framework was chosen and completely reskinned.

An online presence is crucial for any consultant who offers services to the knowledge working community.
It allows one to put oneself out there, convey your services and skills and showcase your projects and clients.
It also allows one to begin the consultation process by receiving direct contact from those inquiring and allows on to give the simple advice necessary to convince others that ones service can be of benefit.
Bettina Moss of bettinabranding.com needed a simple web presence which she could update herself but would not cost her an arm and a leg. nomad-one used WordPress to quickly set up a cost effective solution for her, one which gives her the power of a content management system at a fraction of the cost.
HakimQuick.com WordPress Theme Skinning
Dr Abdullah Hakim Quick, International Historian and Islamic scholar needed his Website re-designed to allow easy content management and inclusion of video and audio content.
WordPress provided the perfect, light weight and highly customisable platform with built in feeds, plugins to add podcasts and to track visitors. WordPress themes are also easy to skin and the platform is designed to be SEO friendly.

Jayz Internet Solutions needed to identify themselves as a web strategy company with it’s finger on the pulse when it comes to new web technologies. nomad-one developed a unique identity which conveyed the fact that Jayz is about using the web for effective communication and community. We also identified an appropriate WordPress theme which fits in with their business image. The iTheme was chosen and modified with Jayz Branding.

The Website was then re-branded due to a name change and has not been launched yet. The design of the site was meant to be content light and visually rich in order to showcase the many high profile projects developed by this property development company. Flash was used to enhance the visual appeal of the site.

Integr8IT & Integr8IT nerve Centre
One of my key clients while under the employ of Liquid Thought was maintaining the Integr8IT Brand. This was achieved by developing a consistent look & feel throughout printed & online materials and by extended the Brand Identity into sub-brands. The web screens above were designed as a proposed online re-branding exercise, something which was never completed due to client’s uncertainty with the direction of their brand.

Ismail Hendricks, one of the finalists for the reality TV show "The Apprentice" approached Liquid Thought to develop a Website to help him in his bid for the competition and to establish an online profile.
The interface represented a snapshot of his personal diary with show notes and galleries showcasing his latest activities.

Listerine – On the strip community
The one the strip community Website was developed as a promotional tool for the launch of the Listerine pocket packs mint strips. Visitors were encourages to interact with the site and could score points the more they did so. These points could be exchanged for prizes like digital cameras, Listerine hampers and much more. The site provided fresh new content in the spheres of fashion, entertainment, movies etc. A weekly comic strip was developed which focused on current issues with a minty freshness surrounding the story line.
the mast area of the site was a flash based scene which changed based on the time of day and visitors could choose between a beach, city or out of town scene.
The site attracted a a healthy member based who interacted with each other via graffiti walls and a forum and built built the brands database for use with other promotions.

MyCholesterol Dubai
The MyCholesterol community Website was intended to be an informative portal to those looking to understand various aspects of their health in order to lower cholesterol. The site also had plans for cholesterol calculators and other member resources to help patients and doctors manage cholesterol levels and maintain healthy lifestyles.
The site needed to convey a clean, healthy feeling, making access to all aspects of the program accessible from the homepage.
